How to Grow Your Own Stevia

Stevia is a plant with proven reputation for being a natural sweetener. Stevia is grown, dried and commercially processed into a natural sweetening agent to be used in place of sugar. Stevia is much sweeter than sugar and has zero calories. Grow your own Stevia in order to have a constant supply and not have to buy an expensive processed alternative.

Instructions

      1. Choose an area in your garden or on your patio that gets a lot of sun. Stevia is native to warm climate countries and requires warm weather and full sun.
      2. Plant Stevia seeds directly in the ground or in a container.
      3. Water Stevia regularly. Do not let your potting soil or garden soil dry out completely because the Stevia plant will wilt and die.
      4. Fertilize your Stevia plant once a month with compost to keep the plant healthy.
